David Gough

My name is David Gough and I just thought I'd drop you a line to say congratulations on becoming an academy - albeit somewhat late.

I was part of the first-year student intake when Sunnyside Primary School first opened in the 1950s. At that time, I lived on Valley Road and still remember that first day. I think the Head at that time was Miss Clarke-Goddard. I have very fond memories of the school, especially tending the class garden one year, and winning a ribbon for the best 'show and tell' when I brought in an original Edison Phonograph and cylinders.

We moved to Lincoln just after taking the 11+ exam, which I took at age 10 and passed. I went to DeAston Grammar School in Market Rasen.

Now, at age 63, I live in Perth, Western Australia and have two children, both boys, and two granddaughters with another on the way.

With very best wishes,
